The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has recently issued a critical notice concerning changes to login credentials (email and/or mobile number) for user accounts registered on the Centralized Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Portal for Plastic Packaging. This notice pertains to changes observed between December 2023 and March 2024.
What You Need to Know:
CPCB has been actively reaching out to users to confirm if the changes to their login credentials were authorized. However, many Producers, Importers, Brand Owners (PIBOs), and Plastic Waste Processors (PWPs) have not yet responded to these inquiries.
Action Required:
If your EPR portal login credentials were modified and you haven’t confirmed with CPCB whether these changes were authorized, it is crucial that you respond within 7 days of the notice’s issuance, by July 22, 2024.
How to Confirm or Address Changes:
Send an Email to CPCB:
– From your registered email ID, send a confirmation email to:
–Primary Contact: divyag9.cpcb@gov.in
CC: eprplastic.cpcb@gov.in
*Provide Confirmation:
– In your email, confirm whether you have made changes to your mobile number and email ID or if no changes have occurred.
Note:
If you don’t respond by the deadline, your EPR portal registration could be cancelled or your account might be reviewed.
Stay compliant and ensure your account details are up-to-date to avoid any disruptions in your registration.
